  1. Agreed, CKS.

This is a very sad and offensive thing indeed (with regards to the letter from Joseph Prince’s Ministries). It is a sad day indeed to see the “Body of Christ” resort to this.

Forgive my asking, but seeing the “freedom” in the internet, what is to prohibit the use of this material anyway – seeing you have no material gain from it? What I find even more interesting/amusing is the fact they did not disallow the use of his NAME in the site address and the above banner promoting their meeting!

There are and were many national governments that prohibited the broadcast, printing, preaching and distribution of the Word of God – yet people did nonetheless – and so often died for it! The question begs to be asked; *which is the “greater evil” (as it were), breaking established laws prohibiting the aforementioned OR being a good little “Komrade/Citizen” and abiding by them when you have the heart, desire, guilelessness and ability to do otherwise?

    Just a thought

*HINT: “To the man that knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin.” ;-)

  2. It’s possible it costs a lot of money to upkeep, especially if there is a high volume of hits and downloads. …but I do appreciate that other ministries make them free……just my 2 cents…..I am wondering if this email you received is referring to all forms of Joseph’s ministry, such as the daily devotionals…….just wondering

  3. AGREE Completely!!! my mom keeps telling me i should listen to him but i can’t find a podcast anywhere! and to download anything from his website is like $8. I’d love to check him out, but don’t have time to see him on t.v.

  4. I totally agree, however, I understans why they doesn’t want people to share it for free. Since their oganisation is a non profit and they need the money to be able to run. But I think there should be some better way then take about the same price for downloading a ceremon as going to the cinema. maybe download all you can for 25 SGD or something

  5. I want to add one thing since I start to get a little frustrated by that every preaching you really want to listen to, they take money for.

Isn’t the gospel something that every man and woman should have the right to hear?

Doesnt Paul not take charge for his services because he wants to be more reliable?

Isn’t this what we give money to the churches for, to spread the gospel, to me and to others, and if so, why do they holding back the blessing the message would have given me?

Even if I respect what they are saying, I don’t have to say that I like it, because I don’t.
Me for example are in the stage where I need to feed myself with the word of Jesus every day. So I usually listen to 1 sermon per day, and from time to time 2, for example if there was a short one. If I would pay 8 singaporean dollars a day, it would be 2920 for a year. I don’t know about you, but for a students that is a lot of money. So instead of being blessed by his message, I usually are listening to what some other churches message instead, that have been giving it out for free to download. Even if i would have prefered to hear Prince’s message

  6. hi i came to knw him through one of my friend…i wud luv to listen to his msgs but unfortunately its nt for free…n i stay in india n i dnt hav much money to download materials n it wud be great if i get it for free so tat i can giv it to the ppl n bring revival here…

    Jesus and His grace reigns

  7. Hi guys, I’m a Singaporean who is currently attending New Creation Church.

Just wanna share my my personal opinion, perhaps the reason why New Creation stressed strongly on the copyright issue is probably because they want to have control over what is released, to whom and when.

Also, they may restrict strictly to purchasing from the site so they can keep track of the sales figure. Finally, being from New Creation for the past 6 years, I understand Pastor Prince’s and the church’s heart, New Creation gives a lot to mission works and various charities around the globe.

Pastor Prince’s sermons are broadcast quite widely around the world, and some of these broadcasting requires funds which probably comes from the sales of Joseph Prince’s ministries material.

Last but not least, the Joseph Prince Ministries is a non-profit organization, and New Creation Church recently went through very strict auditing spot-check conducted by the authorities and come out on the other side completely clean. As a matter of fact, the authorities even complimented New Creation for the practice Pastor Joseph Prince’s signature is not even one of the criteria required in releasing any of the Church’s fund despite him being the Community Chairman. This says a lot about the man’s integrity to not get involved in any monetary matters and trust in the appointed people to take care of the church’s money.

With these, I hope to wish all of you a very Blessed 2009, & may our heavenly Daddy blessed each of you abundantly!! :)

  8. I have watched Pastor Prince’s tv shows for the past couple of days and although have not been a practicing christian, have been inspired by his message. So much so that I looked for any downloads that I could burn and listen to in my car. I run a business and realize that things cost money. However……I just can’t reconcile in my mind how everything related to his preaching cost money. I would have no problem generously donating to a ministry that truly inspired me as his did and make available to others, but to put an actual price tag on hearing ‘the word of God’ sticks badly in my mind. I mean….what happened to the message of putting God first and all else would be provided for? Did Jesus’ disciples charge to hear their message? I don’t mean to be critical……but somehow it just doesn’t sit right with me. Seems to me the part about seeking first the kingdom of God and all else would be provided for would apply to preachers foremost. I don’t know…….I am just a wandering soul looking for truth. Guess I just need to carry my checkbook in my search.

  9. I am from across the border of Singapore living in Malaysia and I have had the privilege of been able to repeatedly listen to a lot of Ps. Prince’s sermons and watching his DVDs and indeed, my whole life has been transformed after being a Christian for almost 24 years. I finally realised the answer to my search for a true fruit bearing Christian life lies not in myself but on the finished work of Christ on the Cross – His Grace and Righteousness. I can understand the frustrations of some of you when it comes to paying for a sermon even though it is a good sermon but I guess we still can’t escape from the realities of life that most of the things in life still cost money. I am quite sure it costs quite a bit to produce the sermons into CDs and DVDs and even if the sale of these CDs and DVDs are not meant for profit, at least the proceeds are meant to cover the cost of productions, distributions and sale. I believe many of us live in contradictions when it comes down to paying for something eg. we won’t mind paying for a concert, a seminar or even a movie but when it comes to a sermon, we expect it to be free. The reason ? It’s God’s word. This is utterly outrageous, to put it mildly. Well, even salvation is not free as it cost the life of God’s only Son, the Lord Jesus. Salvation is free for us now because someone has paid the price. Anyway, I am not here to judge anyone but hope that we will begin apply not just our mind but our hearts as well in matters lke this. I am sure that the money we paid, for a good sermons, will go into good cause and will blessed someone and will bring about even more blessings than we can ever know or imagine. If you are really hungry for His Word but genuinely unable to afford these sermons, you can seek the LORD’s help and I am confident that He will enable you to find a way to have access to these sermons and perhaps you can write to Pastor Prince Ministries and seek their assistance, which I sincerely believe they are most willing to help. As for those who can afford it, please do not complain but instead be grateful and thankful that God has blessed you enough or more than enough and enable you to enjoy the fruits from the labor of His servants as in the case of Ps. Prince. We need not or even try to understand everything in life but just need to appreciate and show respect to the works of others by making contribute in the best of our abilities. God Bless All.

  10. Rather than getting offended by what Pastor Prince is doing, why not be a blessing and give to his ministry for the messages? Perhaps it’s the Lord who told P. Prince to apply a fee for his messages. It is not our place to judge what he is doing, but pray that whatever he does with the finances will be used towards the kingdom. If P. Prince is after money for selfish reasons, then he wouldn’t be giving to charities, would he? Perhaps the finances is used to pay for broadcasting fees to US which is being pulled in for free through your cable.. ever thought about that?

  11. Pastor Prince is such a blessing. His message on grace is such freedom. Isn;t that why Christ died for our total forgiveness of sins and freedom? Amen. He needs our prayers. I tell you what you can;t go wrong in giving to his ministry. When you give to the message of grace you can;t help but be blessed. And yes my husband and I do give to Pastor Prince;s ministry, Yes we are blessed because of it. I believe it is because it is the true message of grace. God bless. Janice.

  12. I have just started to hear Joseph Prince’s messages and I am so blessed . He is a man of God doing His work and building the Kingdom by revealing God’s Word ,making the Gospel of Graceand love so real.I want to hear his messages more and more so that my focus will be on Christ alone. Praise God for Joseph Prince and his love for Jesus.
